Getting All Sunk In

This project, located in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, transformed a sloped yard over looking a nice pond into a functional and visually appealing outdoor retreat. The client’s yard sloped toward an existing retaining wall, presenting an opportunity to create a unique, sunken firepit area.

Using our 3D design software, we collaborated closely with the client to develop a plan tailored to their needs. The final design featured Savannah 3-piece pavers with Savannah colored walls, delivering a cohesive and inviting aesthetic. Retaining walls were thoughtfully designed to double as seating walls, maximizing functionality without compromising style.

The firepit was constructed using the same wall blocks as the seating and retaining walls, ensuring a unified appearance. To elevate the design, we capped the walls with bullnosed pool coping, adding a polished and sophisticated finish. The completed space blends beauty and utility, providing the client with a stunning outdoor area perfect for relaxation and entertaining.
