Flagstone Patio in Owens Cross Roads, AL

For this patio we needed to dig down about 6 inches, so we could bring in enough base material plus the height we would gain from the mortar to achieve the correct height. After excavation we added about 4 in of base material then used a plate compactor to make sure the base was properly compacted. We then mortared the flagstone on the compacted base.
